In the afternoon, make your way to Piazza Gramsci for a half day tour of Chianti which is famous for its excellent red wine of the same name.
Chianti offers a unique landscape of green, gentle hills covered with wide fields of vineyards and olive groves, small stone villages, churches and countryside homes in stone.
Admire the beautiful landscapes of Tuscany hills and you will be passing by ancient churches, medieval castles and small villages. There will be stop at Monteriggioni, a medieval walled town located on a natural hillock. Then proceed to the town of Castellina in Chianti, located atop a hill and see the massive Rocca castle with a huge 14th century tower.
You will visit a local winery in Chianti area where you will see the different steps of wine production from vineyard to the cellar. Approximate travel time is 3 hours 15 mins by train via Florence After breakfast at the hotel, make your way to the train station to board your train to Rome, the eternal city.
The capital city has full of remains from its glorious past from ancient roman sites to beautiful squares, museums, churches and fountains. Arrive at Roma Termini train station and check-in to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore the city on your own.
