Emily Ross is a minor character featured in Red Dead Redemption. She appears in the stranger side-mission " Remember My Family ". She is the wife of Edgar Ross , the director of the Bureau of Investigation.

Emily makes her first and last appearance in the final mission of the game, when Jack Marston sets out to find Edgar Ross. The government agent Jack first talks to in Blackwater , Howard Sawicki , directs him to Ross's cabin out on Lake Don Julio , where he is spending his retirement years with his wife.

Jack first meets Emily on the cabin's porch, where she vents her worries to him about her husband regarding the Bureau continuing to harass him for work. Before leaving, Jack assures Emily that he's sure her husband will be "just fine", foreshadowing Ross's fate. Afterwards, Emily Ross can be killed without causing the mission to fail, but it will result in a loss of Honor.

Well, in this game anyways. There's a lot of people in this game some or most people hate, but Ross seems to be the number one hated character in this game. Yeah, all right, even I was angry at what he did to John Marston. Kidnap his wife and son, force him to hunt down his old gang, then betrays him even after all John did for him. To make it worse, Ross kept saying after John hunts his old gang down, he'll let John live peacefully.

Ross has some nerve to not leave John alone after all that. I'm a little surpise some, if not, a lot of people hate Ross so much, they'd get back at him by torturing or killing his wife and brother. Isn't doing that to his wife and brother going too far? I realize they are fictional characters, but still, isn't that going too far?! Makes me feel like you're just as bad as he is well, sort of. Besides, just cause they're Ross' family, doens't mean they did anything wrong!

Overall, of all the characters I've known in this game. Ross sure has become the most hated character of them all.
